What is the Spotlighters Toolkit?
The Toolkit includes a wide array of innovative materials and practices allowing teachers, educators and organizations working in the field of Education to both teach about and implement such practices.
The Toolkit was designed to assist teachers in the delivery of the lesson content produced under Spotlighters. The aim of the content is to educate students about the science of stress and self-regulation. For a quick look at some of the material the Toolkit covers, have a look at this document containing 10 questions and answers about stress and self-regulation. The Toolkit is modelled in the same way as the online course and we recommend teachers to complete the online course before using the Toolkit as this will give you a quick overview of the material and how it is connected. The Toolkit consists of 7 units:
- The first unit is an introductory unit for you with an overview of the material.
- Unit 2-7 all have files that you can use for teaching (slides, teacher notes, and printouts)
The lesson units in the Toolkit
The Toolkit was produced with secondary school students in mind, however, however, the Spotlighters team has also adapted the materials to primary level. For the primary level we have chosen four units that are most appropriate for this age group. However, more adaptation will most likely be required by the individual teacher depending on the group of children.
When you click on the links under the images above, you will be taken to a folder for the corresponding age group. The folder is divided into languages (Danish, English, Finnish, Greek, Portuguese, Spanish), after selecting the language you will get to all the files. It might seem overwhelming the first time, in which case we recommend opening unit 1 Course overview which will explain the filing structure and have links to additional resources for you to use in class.

The link leads to a folder divided in those languages. The material is not identical in the folders, as it has been adapted to fit language and cultural.
